In short
The routing protocol daemon in Junos OS fails to properly validate specific optional BGP update attributes, allowing an unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network to crash the service. By sending a crafted BGP update over an established session, the attacker triggers a daemon restart that disrupts traffic until routing reconverges. This vulnerability requires no user interaction or prior authentication to exploit.

The vendor's description
An Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
When in a BGP traffic engineering scenario a specific, valid, optional, non-transitive BGP update is received over an established BGP session, RPD crashes and automatically restarts, which leads to traffic impact until routing has reconverged.
